The Centralian Beef Breeders Association along with support from studs and sponsors from all over Australia, will once again encourage young people aged between 5 and 18 in the Beef Industry by awarding a stud heifer to keep and show.
Centralian Beef Breeders Association with support from Rabobank will once again encourage young people aged 8 to 18 years in the Beef Industry by awarding one recipient,$1000 , which goes toward them attending a heifer show interstate.

The Centralian Beef Breeders Association along with the Australian Beef Industry Foundation (ABIF) annually offers the opportunity for one local Central Australian youth to attend a one week Leadership Course at the Marcus Oldham College, in Geelong, Victoria in June each year. The scholarship is open to men and women aged 21 to 40 years of age who have a proven long-term commitment to the Beef Industry.

The CBBA thank the ABIF, Rural Press and the Marcus Oldham College for their support in making this award possible.
1. Children must be nominated for the award with parents consent, be aged between 5 and 18 years of age and be a local entrant
2. Must be prepared to show the heifer in the following years at the Alice Springs Show and other shoes if possible.
3. Previous entrants are eligible to enter.
4. Must be able to accommodate the heifer with land, feed, water, transportation and animal health as outline by the Livestock Welfare and Transporting Laws and NLIS Requirements
5. This award should be considered as a long term commitment and should not be exchanged for cash while productive. (may be passed on to another person if situation changes and cannot care for animal)
6. Must understand the value of the animal and appreciate the effort required to earn the prize
7. Must recognize and promote the breeder of heifer in all opportunities
8. Be prepared to liaise with breeder in future years on the animals performance etc.
9. A thank you letter to the donor of the heifer is expected
10. Annual updates on the heifers progress (particularly in the first 3 years) to the CBBA would be appreciated for promotional material of future prizes. Simple email and photos would suffice.
11. Judges decision is final (No correspondence will be entered into competition)
